HPC Engineer

Role Overview We are looking for a highly motivated HPC Engineer who is passionate about driving innovation in engineering computing environments This role goes beyond traditional HPC operations and focuses on identifying evaluating and implementing new technologies and customer solutions in our existing Industrial Engineering Cloud platform A major focus of this position is the development and integration of innovative solutions around AI driven simulation workflows GPU accelerated computing and NVIDIA Omniverse technologies The successful candidate has to understand emerging requirements and transform them into practical services and solutions This role requires a high degree of ownership independence and accountability We are looking for someone who can take ideas from concept to production with minimal supervision while maintaining a structured and reliable approach Must haves in bold Key Responsibilities Drive innovation initiatives for engineering and HPC customers Evaluate and implement new technologies related to AI supported engineering and simulation workflows GPU computing and acceleration NVIDIA Omniverse and digital twin technologies Future HPC and engineering cloud services Analyze customer requirements and transform them into technical solutions and service enhancements Work directly with industrial engineering customers to understand current and future challenges Develop proof of concepts pilot solutions and production ready implementations Introduce new capabilities into the existing HPC platform and service portfolio Collaborate with service management architects and operations teams across multiple countries Take full end to end ownership of projects from idea generation through implementation and operational handover Continuously identify opportunities for automation optimization and service improvement Required Qualifications Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Technology or a related field Solid understanding of High Performance Computing HPC environments and concepts At least experience with one prominent CAE solver Ansys StarCCM Nastran Optistruct or similar Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills Ability to understand engineering customer requirements and technical workflows Experience working in customer facing or solution oriented technical roles Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities Excellent English communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with GPU computing technologies and architectures Knowledge of NVIDIA technologies including CUDA GPUs and NVIDIA Omniverse Experience with simulation workloads such as CAE CFD FEM or related engineering applications Familiarity with AI and machine learning applications in engineering environments Experience with HPC workload managers such as Slurm Understanding of cloud hosted HPC platforms and hybrid infrastructures Scripting and automation experience using Python Bash or similar tools Essential Personal Competencies Strong self starter mentality with exceptional initiative Ability to independently identify opportunities define solutions and drive execution without continuous supervision Comfortable working in an environment where ownership and accountability are expected Highly structured and organized way of working Proven ability to deliver reliable results while managing responsibilities autonomously Strong end to end ownership mindset taking responsibility from concept through implementation and operation Ability to balance innovation with operational stability and customer needs Customer focused pragmatic and solution oriented approach Curiosity and enthusiasm for exploring emerging technologies and industry trends About the service Industrial Engineering Cloud IEC delivers High Performance Computing HPC services to engineering and industrial customers through multiple data centers located in Germany Our services are provided in a flexible pay per use model enabling customers to scale their computing capacity according to their business needs In addition to HPC services IEC offers hosting solutions for Product Lifecycle Management PLM systems and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure VDI environments tailored for engineering workloads Our international team consists of 12 professionals located in Brazil Germany and India combining infrastructure operations engineering and customer facing expertise to deliver reliable and innovative services to customers worldwide
