Service Assurance Engineer I

Service Assurance Engineer At GTT , our Service Assurance Team manages and maintains GTT's international network, delivering exceptional support to customers worldwide.

As a Service Assurance Engineer , you will be responsible for troubleshooting network issues, managing incidents through resolution, and ensuring a stable, resilient, and high-performing network environment.

What You'll Be Doing Provide break/fix support across GTT's global network.

Own and drive incidents through to successful resolution.

Perform technical validation, troubleshooting, and escalation management.

Work closely with customers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve service issues.

Configure network devices and support service migrations.

Proactively identify recurring issues and drive preventative actions.

Maintain accurate documentation and customer communications.

Ensure operational procedures and best practices are followed.

What We're Looking For Essential 2+ years of experience in a Telco, Service Provider, or similar environment.

Strong troubleshooting and fault-diagnosis skills.

Experience with SD-WAN, Security, and SASE technologies.

Good understanding of BGP, OSPF, ISIS, and EIGRP.

Experience with Layer 2 technologies, including VLANs, STP, and LACP.

Knowledge of MPLS, L2VPN, and L3VPN services.

Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have Cisco IOS and hardware experience.

Juniper JUNOS experience.

Certifications such as CCNA, JNCNA, Fortinet FCA, or Palo Alto PCNSA/PCCSA.

Experience in a NOC or Service Operations environment.
