Role: Marketing Manager (Account Management & Operations) Location: Gurugram , India About the role: Google products are used by billions of users every day.
As a Marketing Manager (Account Management & Operations) within Google’s Consumer Marketing team, you will be the central account manager and operational driver responsible for scaling Google Search in India.
In this role, you will act as the key liaison and account manager connecting internal business stakeholders (Product, Brand, Legal, Policy, PR) with external agency partners (Creative, Media, Production, and Research).
You will own the day-to-day account relationship management, end-to-end campaign operations, workflow governance, and budget management to deliver high-impact marketing initiatives on time and within scope.
What you will be doing: Account Management & Stakeholder Relations Agency Account Management: Act as the primary day-to-day Account Manager for agency partners (creative, media, digital, and research).
Lead the briefing process, scope of work (SOW) management, timeline adherence, and agency evaluation.
Internal Client Servicing: Serve as the central point of contact for internal cross-functional teams (Product Marketing, Brand, Legal, PR, Policy).
Manage expectations, gather requirements, secure alignment, and drive consensus across all deliverables.
Relationship & Communication Cadence: Maintain structured communication routines, status meetings, executive updates, and relationship management cadences to ensure seamless collaboration between all parties.
Marketing Operations & Campaign Delivery End-to-End Campaign Orchestration: Manage the operational lifecycle of integrated campaigns from brief intake, asset production, and multi-channel media deployment to post-campaign reporting.
Process & Workflow Optimization: Design, implement, and maintain scalable operational frameworks, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and approval pipelines to reduce campaign turnaround times.
Financial & Budget Operations: Manage campaign budgets, including purchase order (PO) creation, vendor onboarding, contract compliance, invoicing, budget tracking, and financial reconciliation.
Risk & Timeline Management: Proactively identify operational bottlenecks, resourcing constraints, and delivery risks, implementing timely mitigation plans.
Performance, Insights & Tooling Operational Dashboarding: Track and report on operational KPIs, campaign milestones, asset delivery status, and agency performance metrics.
Insight Activation: Collaborate with research agencies to ensure consumer insights are operationalized effectively into campaign briefs and product strategies.
AI & MarTech Tool Adoption: Leverage project management tools and integrate generative AI tools into everyday workflows to automate administrative tasks, optimize reporting, and drive operational efficiency.
What you need to be great in this role: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 6–9 years of experience in Marketing Account Management (e.g., Client Servicing / Account Management at top creative/media agencies) and Marketing Operations within a tech/consumer brand.
Proven track record of managing multi-agency setups and delivering complex, multi-channel marketing campaigns.
Preferred Qualifications: Proven Account Management Skills: Deep expertise in running complex accounts, client servicing, agency management, negotiation, and contract/SOW handling.
Operational Rigor: Strong hands-on experience with marketing project management tools, budget management systems, and creative production pipelines.
Stakeholder Management: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and liaise effectively with senior leadership.
Analytical Mindset: Comfortable working with data to evaluate campaign operations, track budgets, and optimize workflows.
Tech & AI Forward: Passion for technology and modern digital tools; demonstrated curiosity and ability to quickly adopt AI tools to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
