As a Data & Backend Engineer you will design and develop data solutions that transform raw information into usable insights for client needs, drawing on full stack engineering skills across data pipelines, backend services, and analytical tooling.

As a Senior Associate you will analyze complex problems, manage assigned workstreams, build meaningful client connections, and mentor junior team members while navigating ambiguity and maintaining professional and technical standards within our Data and Analytics Engineering practice.

In this role at PwC, you will use critical thinking, interpret feedback, and apply a range of methods to support data science and engineering deliverables that inform decision-making and contribute to client service engagements.

Responsibilities - Analyzing client data and business requirements to design data science and backend solutions that support informed decision-making - Building and maintaining data pipelines, models, and application components across analytics and engineering workstreams - Developing exploratory analysis, statistical modeling, and data visualizations to translate complex findings into clear recommendations - Applying programming languages, cloud technologies, and data engineering methods to improve data flow, processing, and accessibility - Reviewing technical deliverables for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with project objectives and professional standards - Collaborating with client stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify priorities, and adapt work as project needs change - Mentoring junior team members by sharing technical guidance, reviewing assigned tasks, and supporting delivery across workstreams - Identifying opportunities to improve data quality, automation, and workflow efficiency across analytics solutions What You Must Have - At least a Bachelor's degree - At least 4 years of experience - Oral and written proficiency in English required What Sets You Apart Proven experience in backend and data engineering - Skilled in Python, PySpark, and SQL programming - Hands-on experience with RESTful and GraphQL APIs - Ability to develop front-end applications using ReactJS - Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Business Analytics, Computer and Information Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Programming, Data Processing/Analytics/Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Machine Learning, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Systems Engineering - Demonstrating proficiency in data engineering and data science workflows - Utilizing programming languages such as C++, R, and MATLAB - Applying machine learning techniques and predictive modeling - Leveraging experience with data pipelines and data lakes - Excelling in complex data analysis and statistical analysis - Navigating AI-driven automation and cognitive solutions Travel Requirements Not Specified Job Posting End Date October 17, 2026
