Skywise uses modern, cutting edge technologies to leverage the hidden value of data and to support aviation actors in taking data-driven decisions and optimizing their daily operations.

Skywise does so by ingesting over 150,000 data sources daily and organizing them into an universal data model that we call the Skywise Ontology.

On top of the Ontology, Skywise provides its customers with access to a vast array of powerful tools that allows them to drill down, explore data, build interactive dashboards and front-ends, perform advanced data analysis using Machine Learning, build predictive models, carry out simulation scenarios across complex models mimicking real-world industrial situations and so much more.

As a Lead Skywise Foundry Developer, you will take full accountability for project success, architecting complex solutions on the Palantir Foundry platform while navigating technical challenges.

You will be responsible for defining technical standards, establishing best practices, and enforcing golden rules that ensure the quality of the applications delivered by the team.

You will mentor your peers, drive continuous innovation, and shape our technical strategy.

Qualification & Experience: Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.

Overall Experience: 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, data science or software application development Skywise Expertise: 4+ years of hands-on experience on Palantir Foundry Experience in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders transnationally Past experience in Aviation/manufacturing domain is preferred Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Pyspark, Python, SQL, Javascript, Typescript Strong hands-on working experience on Palantir Foundry tools like Code repository, Pipeline builder, Access management, Ontology, Object explorer, Workshop, Templates, Marketplace, Quiver, Slate etc Prior working experience on Aircraft sensor data and time series data processing in Skywise preferred Ability to implement optimizations at scale on Pyspark or Java-based decoding pipelines in Foundry Code Repositories to translate raw, compressed, or binary formats into clean, structured datasets Knowledge and experience of AIP tools on Foundry Strong ability in leveraging AI tools in development and operational workflows Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database systems Strong understanding of data governance and security aspects Knowledge on some of the following products/tools: Git, Confluence, Agility, Jira etc Excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team Prior working knowledge on AWS is an advantage Willing to work in CET timezone based on project need Strong willingness to continuously learn and explore Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership Collaborate closely with the Product Owner/Project Leader/Product manager in gathering requirements, managing expectations, and presenting technical deliveries to the business stakeholders Partner with the Product Owner/Project Leader to prioritize, groom, and maintain the sprint backlog within an Agile/Scrum framework Take ownership of the end-to-end application development by understanding business needs and translating them into clear technical requirements for the development team Responsible for designing, developing, testing, documenting, supporting and operating Skywise (Palantir Foundry) based applications that involve data engineering, data analysis and visualization Design comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and end-to-end test cases covering complex data workflows and UI interactions Responsible for Continuous Release Management and Continuous Improvement Programs Drumbeat and accelerate the adoption of AI technologies in the team Log, track and prioritize system defects using Agility or ServiceNow, collaborate closely with developers for rapid resolution Perform deep-technology root cause analysis to resolve complex data pipeline and application issues Understand complex business processes and the technical architecture of the Airbus application portfolio Assess the existing landscape of the applications with respect to technical & functional aspects and align them to the best practices for integration & security Define and enforce technical best practices, Golden Rules, and conduct thorough source code auditing Drive awareness of relevant Quality and Project management practices and ensure compliance Identify and realize new business opportunities by working closely with the relevant stakeholders Team Mentorship & Stakeholder Management Mentor and guide development team members to build robust, easy-to-navigate code bases Support the team members in developing competencies needed to deliver the solutions Implement knowledge management for the applications managed in the team Act as a technical bridge between business requirements and project execution and ensure quality products are delivered Build and maintain healthy relationship with all the business stakeholders Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical constraints into clear business impacts Key Success Metrics: Ownership: Take ownership of the project(s) and drive stakeholder engagement and alignment during the entire lifecycle of the project On-Time Delivery & Quality: Consistently ensure first-time-right quality and on-time delivery across all project milestones Innovation: Deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions for data pipeline optimization and performance tuning Customer Satisfaction: Maintain customer first mindset through clear communication and proactive engagement Agile Mindset: Demonstrate cont
