The Ecology & Biodiversity FAE shall be responsible for planning, supervising, reviewing and technically validating the ecological and biodiversity components of EIA/EMP studies , including baseline assessment, ecological surveys, impact assessment, biodiversity evaluation, mitigation measures, conservation planning and preparation/review of relevant sections of EIA/EMP reports.
The expert shall coordinate with other FAEs, EIA Coordinators, field survey teams, GIS specialists and laboratories to ensure that ecological information is appropriately integrated into the overall EIA.
Key Responsibilities includes Ecological Baseline assessment (Flora and Fauna) , Bio Diversity Assessment, Aquatic Ecology, Marine Environment Assessment (Phyto, Zoo Plankton, Marco/Meio Benthos etc., ), Fish, Impact Assessment, Impact Quantification, Mitigation & Biodiversity Management, Knowledge in Regulatory & Conservation Framework & GIS & Spatial Ecology, Ensuring Field Survey & Data Quality, Coordination with Other FAEs etc.,
Master's degree in Ecology / Environmental Science / Wildlife Science / Zoology / Botany / Life Sciences / Forestry or an appropriately relevant discipline , subject to the applicable NABET criteria.
